  • you mention about moving the Settings and Application directories for Sharp ROM. On the C1000 and C3x00 models, these directories are on /home/zaurus/Settings and /home/zaurus/Applications

I think that a visible novelty is the new logos displayed both at boot time when kernel started in console, and after that during init sequence before going to graphics mode. -- OlivierBerger

Inital setup annoyance

After reflashing my Terrier (SL-C3200) with the Opie image, the Opie initial setup is marred by the appearance of a misplaced media-scan dialog box which can't be dismissed with the Cancel button. I have to hit ctrl-alt-del, which kills the initialization process and leaves the touchscreen unusable until a recalibration is initiated with the keyboard and menus.

However, the media-scan dialog box can be avoided by removing the CF card during the reboot after the initial flashing of the images. Perhaps the user can be prompted to do so around the time of the altboot password exchange?
