Ensure that your C1000 machine has a standard flash partitioning

quote: Ensure that your C1000 machine has a standard flash partitioning (e.g. as it was originally), flashing may fail if this is not the case

Does this mean that you can only flash once, because once you flash it changes the partitioning? --JTD 21:24, 10 May 2006 (BST)

No. It uses same memory partitioning (see AkitaFlashPartioning) OlivierBerger 11:52, 25 May 2006 (BST)
If you are flashing from a stock Sharp ROM, then your partitions are most likely OK for OZ, but if you have Cacko, then you will need to repartition before you can flash OZ. -- Menaie 11:48, 17 June 2006 (AET)

How can this "standard flash partitioning" be guaranteed? What is it? Can it be restored? -- Sy / (talk) 09:24, 18 June 2007 (CEST)

Troubleshooting

NAND Restore

I added the URL for instructions and download of the NAND file for an English version of a Sharp ROM. I had done this restore previously from a factory-formatted CF card, but this time I left the card at work, so I used an SD card. I didn't work wiht the card formatted FAT32, but was OK after I formatted the card as FAT.
