See C7x0/Install for installation instructions.

c7x0 is a nickname for 1st generation of Zaurus clamshells:

  • c700 - Corgi
  • c750 - Shepherd (also sold as SL-7500 for Chinese market - have other keyboard layout)
  • c760 - Husky
  • c860 - Boxer (same as Husky - other colors)

They are supported since OpenZaurus 3.5.1 and was first models with fully working 2.6 kernel. When 2.4 kernel was used each machine required own kernel - we united them under 2.6 so one kernel is enough for all machines.

From hardware point of view there are three models:

  • corgi (400 MHz PXA250, 64M Flash, 32M RAM)
  • shepherd (400 MHz PXA255, 64M Flash, 64M RAM)
  • husky/boxer (400 MHz PXA255, 128M Flash, 64M RAM)

If we ignore CPU/Flash/RAM differences then we got only one model left: C7x0.
